Watro's blighted properties
Get a clue

Lately I've been talking about narrative vs. law. Rep Watro's constant babbling about property blight in McAdoo is a great example.
I've listed the actual PA law, and anything remotely connected to high grass as blight is nonsense. In fact, not one single item above qualifies for blight; all of them must exist.
Enforcing your perverted concept of blight is dangerous for the working poor of McAdoo and probably why those in PA government with a brain omitted mention of improper gardening.
Fact: a large number of homes are remnants from the coal mining boom and were built poorly; get over it. Fixing these properties is basically a waste of money, rarely yielding a return on the investment.
It also means all renovations are passed down to the poor in higher rent.
I've included a few photos of a misguided property owner who willingly threw his money away to fix a genuinely blighted property. His reward from the community was police harassment, a stolen car, thousands in fines, and ultimately being run out of town. Not what I would call an insensitive to continue.
