There's gold in the mail

Maybe

I received an email that my bag of paydirt from Alaska has shipped. In case anyone is following my adventure I'll explain paydirt since this was new to me.

Many larger gold mines run a side buisnessn for extra income selling paydirt from their mine. There are a few scams out there but normally the mine will scoop dirt from thier mine unchecked and dump in a pile. The bag sold to you include the unsearched dirt plus some seeding of real gold.

This is a hobby for some at home searching the paydirt for the motherload. Gold in bedrock is usually sent for an essay to predetermine the amount of gold per ton, most come in at under an ounce of gold per ton so when they scoop one shovel from the pile your chances are slim, like a lottery ticket.

I have no interest in this as a hobby but purchased to practice with my new high banker and gold pan.
