The spirit of the law

I tried

Removing my Mini had nothing to do with public safety. This Mini was resting on 6-ton jack stands on private property, in accordance with BMW's safety standards. As I later found out in court, it was in violation of the Quality of Life Ordinance, so I did my best to comply.

This new Mini project was part of my doctor's recommendation to stay active since I could not afford $75 co-pays for therapy three times a week. Eventually, the pace I was keeping to conform with the two weeks was hurting my disabilities, and I wrote to Mayor Vilcheck for an extension as a handicapped senior taxpayer.

I never did hear one way or the other on my request, and after MPD passed me by multiple times without a discouraging word, I assumed we had terms.

The illegal towing of my Mini not only broke the law and infringed on my civil rights but now compounded the problem by adding discrimination against a handicapped senior.
