Seniors fight

Everyday is a battle

I decided to take a break after 800 days of Schuylkill County abuse. That lasted one day. Sitting here idle, I'm already climbing the walls, fuming over my Mini. The BP reached 179/117, the highest of my life, except for my leg blood clot.

I tend to get frustrated when I feel powerless. This is the same feeling that I get when I feel old age death knocking on my door.

First to the young, remember that feeling of a trip to any amusement park for the day, and you’re finally home, sore as you sit in your future old man chair, thinking, "Fuck this, never again" because you’re so sore you can't move. A senior with arthritis feels like that 24/7.

I decided to fight. First, I’m using my Muscle Builder App every day just to keep from feeling like the Tin Man from Oz. I joined Planet Fitness, but have yet to go, mainly because I'm sick of buses. I have decided to eat less processed food, having a salmon steak with a real Idaho baked potato for dinner.

Next, I started taking supplements and will list them, and over time let you know what I think because they’re not cheap. The first positive improvement is in my skin. I was developing that saggy, wrinkly skin; there's a noticeable improvement already.

For reference, I have gone from carrying 4x8 sheets of plywood up a ladder to one plank push-up at 70, but I plan on unleashing the beast within 😀

Here is my list:

  • Whey protein shake / 2 scoops 60 grams of protein

  • Creatine 100% 5-gram serving / think of it as legal steroids and perfectly healthy

  • Vitamin D3 1000 IU

  • Fish oil pills / 720 mg Omega 3

  • Saw Palmetto + Nettle + Pumpkin / prostate health

  • Glucosamine w/ Turmeric & MSM / Arthritis lube

  • PUREBOOST clean energy mix / multivitamins & electrolytes
