Extortion?

6/15/20261 min read

This is one of those posts where I have to be careful of what and how I say it. Chief DiVirgilio used her as a witness against me in front of the Honorable Edward Tarentelli. She didn't level any charges against me but testified that I was a scary man until Tarentelli told her to sit down for wasting his time.

If you look at your copy of the McAdoo Quality of Life Ordinance after checking to see that the fees McAdoo charged me for fines are not even close to what we agreed upon, you will see Diane's signature on the document for the borough.

I don't claim to be an expert on contracts, but I was a Teamster for 17 years and still am, but on inactive status. When I first noticed the discrepancy, the first thing that I did was file a RTKLR for any contract amendments; there were none. More than once, I have walked into the office to see Diane and find a mountain of tickets on her desk to be processed for their bounty.

My question is, if she accepted funds that are illegal while knowing this, is that extortion?
