Camp Safety 2
Safe with no gun

Since I will be traveling alone, I have given this some thought and have come up with a few tips and tricks that I intend to use when the monsters come out at night.
There are numerous steps you can take for camp safety, like storing food outside of your tent. It’s common sense, but let’s talk about two-legged predators.
The simplest solution should be ID tags so the authorities can track the theft of your new $500 roto-molded cooler. I will place a link. There are also devices that scream when the object is removed, great for being away from camp, maybe in the lake.
My situation will be different since I plan on roaming from camp in search of gold, and even if the alarm trips, I might be too far from camp to make a difference. For this scenario, I decided on a cellular game camera that hunters use, along with a tree bracket. I checked, and once the camera trips, I receive a photo sent to my cloud and am alerted on my phone in 3 minutes, enabling me to notify park rangers. On paper, it sounds good.
The last are trip wires and flash bangs, my favorite. These are 12 gauge blank shells that fire when the trip wire is walked into. Since I quit hunting, I had about 100 shells left that I removed the shot from, cut down, and resealed for a lifetime supply because they are pricey.
