Yes, you are right about the McAdoo Code. Unfortunately, MPD failed to clarify that and it was only explained to me while in court by Judge Tarantelli.

I call bullshit on the motor vehicle violation as unsafe. My Mini was on six-ton jack stands and supported under BMW recommendation. The scribbled ticket by Officer 86 is harassment; this imbecile is not qualified to overturn BMW safety protocol while parked on private property.

The only violations that existed were those of the Quality of Life Ordinance and were subject to those laws. To cut to the chase, you needed a warrant. Calling up your buddies that own a tow truck to trespass on private property, despite numerous signs, does qualify having my Mini ripped from its jack stands, destroyed, and whisked 20 miles away with 0 paperwork.
