Alaska gold in McAdoo
Time to pan

I received my gold paydirt from Motherload; I'll post a link. The 10 pounds were delivered well-packaged in two 5-pound bags, so I can use one to practice with the high banker and one bag to practice panning. I figure whatever gold is in there I can use to re-seed my own paydirt for practice, plus having some real gold will help in learning to use my Gold Monster 1000, which I intend to use for checking waste piles from old mine dumps.
My next blog will probably show me using or testing my new highbanker, so I will show the control box I made. Normally, this highbanker came with a kit that included a hose, a 12v pump, and a battery supply from a power drill, but they have sold out.
I was unable to find any of these highbankers for sale with the kit, so I made mine from Amazon parts and will post links. The battery I chose is a LiFePO4 with the power of 4 drill batteries, so I don't have to bring a spare; I checked the measurements with the ammo box purchased.
The silicone I used to glue everything down didn’t work too well; I should have roughed the area with fine sandpaper. You need to control the flow of water; this is one way; the other is a simple ball valve.
I made this from the parts that I could find on Amazon resale, like new, 50% off or better.
