I mentioned that I needed a new backpack since I donated my camping/hiking bag to bug-out. The bag is from: Fjallraven Lappland Hike 15 Backpack — CampSaver.
The 15-liter size is perfect for me since my arthritic fat-ass won’t be hiking the Appalachian Trail anytime soon. I just needed a bag to wander off from camp with food and water. I also purchased a dry bag that I will keep empty inside pack should I need to bring some wild shrooms back with me, plus the seams are taped seal so I could use it to fetch water in a pinch. The only items that I need to pick up are a ferro rod and small lightweight rain tarp and some paracord. I already added my homemade fire starters. I consider this a day bag but lately on YouTube they are calling this a get home bag. They are really talking about two bags for two different scenarios, one you leave for a short time but plan on getting back home and the other is a go bag where you leave home without a clue when you will be back. To me its just a day bag.
